The cast of fabric is highlighted through a rainbow shimmer of
drops. The mosaic design flows from the mother-of-pearl lustre and
inset stones. The mineral dot chip binds the construction, endowing
a flat icon with inherent relief. Substance and form are perpetually
intertwined. A slash of the artist's hand, and her canvas becomes
sculpture. The twists of coiled fabric arch into totemic figures.
The meld of opposites is the core of her approach, embodied in her
sculpture with tinted highlights. Sculptures as labyrinthine and
serpentine as the painted work.
